Most of the species of Chanterelle Mushrooms are rounded fork folds. The color of this mushroom is orange or sometimes yellow and white. The fruity aroma, peppery taste, and seamless cap shape make this Chanterelle Mushrooms quite appealing and attractive. They are widely known and found in northern parts of America. The word Chanterelle is derived from the Greek word Kantharos, which means cup-shaped. These mushrooms are often used in culinary cuisine. According to some Chefs, Chanterelle loses its texture and taste after chewing for a long time. They have a strong connection with trees. Moreover often mostly found near hardwood trees, oak, birch and maple. They oop on moist floors and usually evolve after heavy rainfall. You can distinguish them with a funnel-shaped cap. The solid stem is coated with a smooth texture. When you cut this mushroom, the inside texture is white. It often smells like pumpkin or apricot. They have gills that go on extending till the base of the plant.

To grow these mushrooms you need to find a suitable tree in your backyard or any preferred choice of your area. Since Chanterellle only grows near tree roots you need to go with trees like birch or Douglas for growing it. Make sure you have the access to the right kind of tree. 

Next comes the perfect soil for harvesting. Chanterelle only grows in soil that has perfect drainage and is less acidic. The ph level should be between 4 and 5.5. In case of high acid levels try to ut aluminum sulfate to balance the acidic level of the soil. You also have to grow them in the right season, It’s good to pick July as the month of growing Chanterelle. Because they only grow in moist and damp areas. Once your Chanterelle has grown up, you can proceed to harvest.

The first step in terms of cooking is to clean the mushroom. Before selling them, they have been already clean. Some are plucked and sold directly from the ground. So it necessary to leam them thoroughly. The best would be holding them mushrooms delicately and wash them through the cool water. Dry them later with a napkin or a towel.

Removing excess moisture is the second crucial step. These mushrooms come with much moisture and when you cook them moisture will go off but sometimes it doesn’t. So the best way would be pan-frying them with a bit of chopped roasted garlic. In this way, mushrooms will remain tasty and the texture will be perfect. 

A popular recipe using Chanterelle Mushrooms is an omelet. Just beat the egg white to make a fluffy omelet. Besides that, chop the mushrooms with garlic and some spices. You can either put the mushrooms in an egg batter or just make a separate omelet and put the mushrooms like toppings on it. It is a great delicacy for our breakfast time.
