Lamonica Garrett was born on May 23, 1975 in San Francisco, California, USA. She is an actor, actress, and producer, who is known for her roles in XOXO, Designated Survivor, and Sons of Anarchy.
LaMonica began to focus on acting after her high school years. Her parents, however, preferred her to stay away from the spotlight. So, she worked as a FedEx driver.
After moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, she began attending acting classes. She earned a role on the TNT action-science fiction series The Last Ship. This led to a rare starring role on the short film “The Duke.”
The role made it to television. She is now a regular cast member on the Paramount+ television series 1883. In that show, she plays a member of the U.S. Cabinet.
