In life, there has to be a balance between work and play, exercise and rest, healthy eating and cheat meals. For every form of hard work, it would always be encouraging to have some form of reward to keep you striving to reach that goal that you have.
So when your cheat day arrives, it would be best to have a go-to meal that will leave you with a satisfied tummy. If you have no idea what to have, here are some suggestions that you may very well enjoy.

1. Ice Cream

Whether you are a five-year-old playing tag in the school playground or a full-grown adult with taxes and other responsibilities, no one is ever too old to have some ice cream. Everyone will have their go-to flavors, may it be dark chocolate, rocky road, or the simple vanilla classic.
Having a few scoops of your favorite ice cream is not only suitable for a hot day, it can also immensely brighten up your cheat day.

2. Pizza

Pizza is another go-to food that many who are taking a break from their diets would love to feast on. No matter if you get a slice of pepperoni, sausage, or just plain cheese, it is guaranteed to always hit the spot.

3. Pancakes with Butter and Syrup

For those who are big fans of breakfast meals, pancakes slathered with syrup and butter is always a staple. And for people who are on their cheat days, this is a sure favorite.
Add in a few slices of bacon on the side, and the first hearty meal of your cheat day is now complete.

4. Steak and Potatoes

This is a cheat meal that can work well for everyone, even for those who are cutting weight for either a fight or a tournament. Not only does this meal have the ample protein that you will need to sustain energy, it also has enough carbohydrates to keep you going through your workouts.
Whether you go for a t-bone or sirloin that is done rare or medium well, having some steak with a side of potatoes either mashed or fried will always be a meal to enjoy.

5. Chocolate Chip Cookies

It can be said that most of us would enjoy a piece of chocolate chip cookie, no matter what the scenario or occasion is. It is another staple dessert that many of us have likely enjoyed as children with a warm glass of whole milk.
You can choose from the regular chocolate or white or dark chocolate, but either way, a cookie is guaranteed to leave your taste buds wanting more.

6. Fried Foods

There is a reason why fried chicken is classified in some parts of the United States as “soul food.” There is also a reason why calamari is a staple dish that can be found on the bar chow section of a restaurant.
Fried food will always be something enjoyable despite its rather unhealthy nature, which is why it is one of the best meals to have on a cheat day.

7. Pasta

Whether it is a few layers of lasagna or a nice bowl of spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs, pasta is one meal that is good for those rare cheat days. Not only will it fill you up good, but it is always a tasty treat as well.
Pair that plate or bowl with some garlic bread or chicken, and you may very well have a royal feast to enjoy.

8. Potato Chips

A cheat day would not be complete without opening up a bag of potato chips as you lounge on the couch watching re-runs of your favorite Simpsons episodes. Any brand out there is guaranteed to be flavorful and filling, just right to make your day a lot better.

9. Cake

For many of us, eating cake is reminiscent of the days as a child when we would attend birthday parties and be served with copious amounts of it. As adults, it is the perfect supplement for a cheat day.
No matter where you grew up or what age you are in, stuffing yourself with a moist slice of cake with icing on top of it will always be fulfilling.

10. Coffee

It is not technically a meal, but having a glass of coffee on any given day is guaranteed to be a happy experience. Especially if you have abstained from it for a long time, that first drop tends to be ten times more satisfying.
