At the age of 12, he won a state-level drama competition. Afterwards, he auditioned for theatrical roles. During his high school years, he was interested in being a fighter pilot. The Air Force did not provide him with such an opportunity, so he turned to acting.

Several years after Freeman entered the Air Force, he decided to leave and pursue an acting career. In order to pay his way, he worked at small jobs.

Freeman also acted in several plays during his early career. One of his most notable roles was in the film Driving Miss Daisy, in which he played Hoke. It was a role that earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

After his success in the theatre, Morgan made a move to Hollywood to try to make it as an actor. But his first roles did not go so well.

Career in the military

If you’ve ever watched a Morgan Freeman movie, you probably haven’t known that he started out as an Air Force member. He served four years in the US Air Force, and he left after a short time. In fact, it was his love of acting that eventually steered him away from the military and into a career in acting.

After completing his four years of service, Morgan Freeman decided to take on a career as an actor. So he moved to New York and auditioned for film roles. Fortunately, he got the part.

As a young man, Morgan Freeman wanted to be a fighter pilot. Unfortunately, his desire to become a pilot was not enough to motivate him to finish his service. Eventually, he realized that flying wasn’t for him. However, he was able to find work in a variety of other fields, including acting and radio.

Then, at the age of 14, he won a statewide drama competition. This was one of the first big steps toward becoming an actor.

Afterward, he moved to New York to continue his acting career. Although he had little success as an actor at first, he landed some of his biggest roles.
