He stole a mysterious orb that would make him a target of Ronan the Accuser. For people who are into superhero movies with sequels, this is a great one to watch. Compared to other first-part Marvel titles, Guardians of the Galaxy really stood out.
The Lego Movie
This Lego-inspired adventure comedy film was Pratt’s first animated work in which he played Emmet Brickowski, a law-abiding construction worker who was mistaken as the Special. Emmet’s everyday life would then be transformed into a big adventure with Batman, Superman, a wizard master-builder, and a villain named Lord Business. Pratt was really able to make Emmet’s character his own and combined with other Hollywood stars, it was just a feel-good movie with the right amount of almost everything, and it is suitable for all ages.
Moneyball
Moneyball is a movie inspired by real-life events surrounding the story of Oakland Athletics’ general manager Billy Beane played by the legendary Brad Pitt who relied on empirical analysis of players to win games. Alongside him was Jonah Hill who played economics graduate Peter Brand. Pratt played a supporting role as former MLB first baseman and catcher Scott Hatteberg. Despite playing a supporting role, Pratt made the character very relatable to many aspiring baseball players. The depth Pratt brought into this role added value to the movie’s storyline of David taking on Goliath. The movie’s climax scene was centered on Hatterberg hitting a walk-off home run.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 was a big hit among fans. When news got out about GOTG Vol. 2, fans were scared that it might not live up to the first one. Fortunately, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 managed to wow fans not only with its action-packed scenes and out-of-nowhere humour but also because of a little bit of drama and touching scenes. In this movie, Pratt played a more vulnerable Star-Lord after meeting his father Ego, who happens to be an ancient Celestial. The movie generated a box office earning of more than $860 million. Now, fans are waiting for the release of Vol. 3.
