There are self-help books about everything these days. From weight loss to diets, to career advice. Sex isn’t any different, and there are a ton of books about sexuality for sale. Here are a few examples of “sex-ed” titles that are worth your time. No,* Fifty Shades of Gray* didn’t make the cut, the titles on this list are all based on science and promote sexual health.

1. The Multi-orgasmic Man: Sexual Secrets Every Man Should Know

by Mantak Chia

Written in 1996 by, Chia’s book explains the difference between ejaculation and orgasm. The book serves as a how-to guide to increase performance, increase stamina, and decreases turnaround time.

The principles in the book are based on Taoist views on love and connection, and Chia teaches readers how to take the psychological principles and turn them into sexual strategies.

You will not need any equipment to practice this “Sexual Kung-Fu” just use Chia’s simple exercises and mental mantras to learn to have multiple orgasms and keep an erection in between.

2. She Comes First: The Thinking Man’s Guide to Pleasuring a Woman

by Ian Kerner

Real men want to please their partners as much as they want to receive, but it can be a bit tricky to know all the right moves, especially if your experience is minimal.

Thankfully, Ian Kerner has penned this guide so you can have a better idea of exactly what you need to do “down there” when it comes to giving oral sex. Ian Kerner is a Clinical Sexologist and Ph.D. So he brings science and experience in an easy to understand and exciting book that every man should read.

3. Tantric Sex for Men: Making Love a Meditation

by Diana and Michael Richardson

This book is excellent because it has so many elements. Like the Multi-orgasmic Man, Tantric Sex for Men offers mental strategies to prolonged ejaculation and preserve your erection.

It goes well beyond that though and teaches the reader how to change their view about sex, from goal-oriented to a meditative union between people.

In doing this, the man can relax and enjoy much more since he is not concerned with his performance.

The book also offers plenty of unique positions and foreplay for you to try with your partner.

4. The Ultimate Guide to Male Sexual health: How to Stay Vital at Any Age

by Dudley Seth Danoff, MD, FACS

Doctor Danoff’s book is all about self-care. Detailing how to improve male genital health, how to combat erectile dysfunction, and how to relieve stress in the bedroom, this book covers a broad range of topics in a friendly and non-judgmental way.

The writer offers facts as well as thought out advice to help the reader with a multitude of male-specific sexual issues.

The book is for all ages and gets to the cause of many problems that men face in the bedroom, and the solutions are real world and practical.

Practically any man who reads this book will be able to take something useful away from it.

5. The New Male Sexuality

by Bernie Zilbergeld

Drawing on 20 years of experiences and report finds about male sexuality, Zilbergeld offers an insight into some of the most frequently asked questions that men have about sex.

The book emphasizes pleasure, closeness, and self-enhancement, as the things that men should focus on while having sex. He defines good sex as feeling good about yourself, your partner, and what you’re doing.

The book is a combination of clinical reports, exercise guides, counseling sessions, and funny excerpts.

6.The Joy of Sex

by Alex Comfort

This book has been around forever but remains a classic must-read. The book has been updated since its original release in 1972, and now includes chapters on sexually transmitted infections, internet use and relationship-friendly pornography, and maintaining a fulfilling sex life at any age.

The book is all about the importance of having a happy and healthy sex life. Offering detailed drawings of positions, as well as advice coupled with clinical research findings, readers learn how to approach their sex lives on several different levels, which leads the reader to a more fulfilled sex life. The Joy of Sex has been one of the bestselling sexuality books of all time.

Question: is there a reason ALL of these are written by men? Why as a man would it be a good idea for me to take advice from OTHER MEN on how to pleasure WOMEN? That doesn’t seem counterproductive to you at all?
